This 13-day journey through the Alps begins in Munich and ends in Zurich, showcasing Europe’s most spectacular mountain scenery. Highlights include King Ludwig’s Linderhof Castle, Innsbruck’s Golden Roof, Novacella Abbey, and the dramatic Dolomites. Travel on the Bernina Express and Glacier Express, two of Switzerland’s most iconic railways, and enjoy stunning destinations such as Lake Como, Turin, Zermatt, Lucerne, and Interlaken. Along the way, explore charming alpine villages, majestic passes, and vibrant cities, with plenty of opportunities for cultural encounters, scenic photography, and memorable experiences.

Day 01: MUNICH

  • Arrival in Munich and hotel check-in

  • Free time to explore Bavaria’s capital city

  • Evening welcome meeting with Tour Director and group


Day 02: MUNICH, LINDERHOF CASTLE, INNSBRUCK AREA

  • Orientation tour of Munich including Marienplatz

  • Visit to King Ludwig II’s fairy-tale Linderhof Castle

  • Scenic drive through the Inn Valley

  • Explore Innsbruck town center and Golden Roof

  • Overnight in Innsbruck area


Day 03: INNSBRUCK AREA, NOVACELLA, BRUNICO, CORTINA D’AMPEZZO

  • Scenic journey from Austrian Tyrol to Italian Tyrol

  • Visit Novacella Abbey, a Baroque masterpiece

  • Stop at Brunico, a picturesque alpine town

  • Travel through UNESCO Dolomites to Cortina d’Ampezzo

  • Overnight in Cortina d’Ampezzo


Day 04: CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, LAKE CAREZZA, BOLZANO

  • Drive through Falzarego and Pordoi Passes

  • Stop at enchanting Lake Carezza with its emerald waters

  • Continue to Bolzano, home of the “Ice Man Ötzi”

  • Evening at leisure in Bolzano


Day 05: BOLZANO, GLORENZA, ST. MORITZ

  • Visit Glorenza, the smallest fortified city in Tyrol

  • Scenic drive via Tubre Pass into Switzerland

  • Cross Engadine National Park with peaks over 12,000 ft

  • Arrive in St. Moritz, the world’s oldest winter resort


Day 06: ST. MORITZ

  • Free day at leisure in glamorous St. Moritz

  • Options include hiking, shopping, or spa experiences


Day 07: ST. MORITZ, BERNINA EXPRESS, TIRANO, LAKE COMO

  • Scenic train journey on the Bernina Express to Tirano

  • Cross the Alps at over 7,000 ft with views of glaciers and streams

  • Continue by coach to the shores of Lake Como

  • Evening at leisure in Como


Day 08: LAKE COMO, TURIN

  • Travel across the Po Valley

  • Guided sightseeing tour of Turin with a Local Guide

  • See major landmarks including piazzas and palaces


Day 09: TURIN, AOSTA, MARTIGNY, SION, ZERMATT AREA

  • Scenic drive through the Aosta Valley

  • Stop in Aosta, known for Roman monuments and alpine charm

  • Continue via Martigny and Sion in Swiss wine country

  • Arrival in Täsch, gateway to Zermatt


Day 10: ZERMATT AREA

  • Full day at leisure in car-free Zermatt

  • Optional cog-railway ride to Gornergrat for Matterhorn views

  • Enjoy traffic-free streets lined with shops and cafés


Day 11: ZERMATT AREA, GLACIER EXPRESS, LUCERNE AREA

  • Scenic train ride aboard the Glacier Express

  • Cross bridges, tunnels, valleys, and alpine meadows

  • Arrive in Lucerne area, one of Switzerland’s loveliest cities

  • Optional excursion to Stanserhorn summit by cable car


Day 12: LUCERNE AREA, INTERLAKEN, BERN, ZURICH

  • Scenic drive over the Brünig Pass

  • Stop in Interlaken with views of the Jungfrau massif

  • Visit Switzerland’s capital Bern including Bear Park and Federal Palace

  • Continue to Zurich for overnight stay


Day 13: ZURICH
