Cross into Cambodia to experience Phnom Penh’s royal and modern history before travelling through the countryside to Siem Reap. Day 01: HANOI
Arrive in Hanoi, where a complimentary airport transfer and fast-track arrival service are included under the applicable conditions.
Attend the important 06:00 p.m. welcome meeting to meet your leader and fellow travellers.
If arriving early, enjoy time to explore the colourful Old Quarter or visit the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum independently.

Day 02: HA LONG BAY
Travel approximately 3.5 hours from Hanoi to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ha Long Bay.
Board Capella Cruise, your Feature Stay, with twin-share ensuite cabins, air-conditioning and private balconies.
Cruise between towering limestone karsts and scattered islands while enjoying an included seafood lunch onboard.
Depending on the day’s routing, visit a cave or fishing village and learn more about the landscape and local life.

Day 03: HANOI
Enjoy breakfast onboard before returning to Hanoi in the mid-afternoon.
Join an early-evening guided walk beginning in the French Quarter and continuing into the Old Quarter.
Stop at Hanoi’s oldest ice cream shop before visiting a hidden traditional apartment for classic Hanoian tea.
Pass landmarks including Hanoi Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hang Be Market and Trang Tien Street.
Finish the walk at a traditional tube house.

Day 04: HOI AN
Take an included mid-morning flight before continuing to Hoi An.
Enjoy an included Vietnamese lunch in a peaceful garden setting.
Join a guided walk through Hoi An Old Town, shaped by centuries of international trade and cultural exchange.
Visit a Chinese assembly hall, cross the Japanese Covered Bridge and enter a historic merchant’s house.
Continue to a local museum before stopping at a coffee shop to sample Vietnamese coffee.
Highlight: Experience Hoi An’s preserved architecture and multicultural trading heritage.

Day 05: HOI AN
Enjoy a free day to experience Hoi An at your own pace.
You may choose an optional cycling experience through rice paddies and villages followed by a boat journey on the Thu Bon River.
The cycling option also includes dinner at a local family-run restaurant.
Alternatively, join a farm-to-table dining experience in Tra Que Village, known for cultivating dozens of herbs and vegetables.
Highlight: Spend the day enjoying Hoi An’s countryside, local food traditions or historic centre independently.

Day 06: HO CHI MINH CITY
Take an included flight to Ho Chi Minh City and begin exploring Vietnam’s southern metropolis.
Join a Vietnamese coffee workshop focused on the country’s coffee heritage and sustainable farming practices.
Prepare your own traditional Vietnamese coffee before setting out on a guided city walk.
Pass the City People’s Committee Building, City Opera House and Central Post Office.
See the contrasting architectural, political and modern commercial character of central Ho Chi Minh City.
Highlight: Combine Vietnam’s coffee culture with a guided introduction to the city’s historic landmarks.

Day 07: CU CHI, HO CHI MINH CITY
Travel to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network originally dug by the Viet Minh and later expanded by the Viet Cong.
Explore the tunnel system with a war veteran, who shares first-hand experiences of life during the conflict.
Learn how the tunnels contained hospitals, dwellings, schools, storage areas and military facilities.
Your leader will provide further context about the tunnel network and the 1968 Tet Offensive.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City for free time during the afternoon.
Highlight: Finish your time in Vietnam with an included contemporary Vietnamese dinner by renowned chef Ngo Thanh Hoa.

Day 08: PHNOM PENH
Take the included unescorted flight from Vietnam to Phnom Penh, where a local representative will meet you on arrival.
Transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time before the evening programme.
Attend a second 06:00 p.m. welcome meeting to meet your Cambodian leader and any new group members.
The travelling group and leader may change today as this journey combines two shorter itineraries.
Highlight: Enjoy an included dinner at Malis Restaurant, known for preserving traditional Cambodian cuisine.

Day 09: PHNOM PENH
Visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21) to learn about the tragic legacy of Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge period.
Continue to the Royal Palace, including the impressive Throne Hall.
The afternoon is free to experience Phnom Penh independently.
You may choose to visit Wat Phnom or the National Museum at additional cost.
Highlight: Gain an understanding of Cambodia through both its royal heritage and difficult modern history.
Travellers who prefer not to visit Tuol Sleng may advise their leader.

Day 10: SKUN, SANTUK, SIEM REAP
Travel from Phnom Penh towards Siem Reap by comfortable private vehicle.
Stop at Skun Village Market and learn about local food traditions, including the town’s famous fried insects.
Visit Santuk Silk Farm, a social enterprise employing local women as artisan weavers.
Learn about traditional silk production before enjoying a rustic lunch prepared by the weavers.
Continue towards Siem Reap, passing historic bridges before arriving in the late afternoon.

Day 11: ANGKOR, SIEM REAP
Spend the day exploring the extraordinary Angkor temple complex with your leader.
Begin at Angkor Wat accompanied by a private archaeological guide for specialist historical insight.
Enjoy an included lunch at Sala Bai Hotel School, which provides hospitality training to disadvantaged local young people.
Continue to Angkor Thom and its monumental stone carvings.
Visit a working Buddhist monastery to learn about Theravada Buddhism and meet resident monks.

Day 12: TA PROHM, BANTEAY SREI, SIEM REAP

Return to the resort or use your three-day Angkor pass to continue exploring the archaeological complex independently.
Enjoy free time in Siem Reap during the afternoon.

Day 13: SIEM REAP
Enjoy breakfast before the organised journey concludes.
There are no further scheduled activities today.
Additional accommodation can be arranged separately for travellers wishing to extend their stay in Siem Reap.
Highlight: Enjoy extra time independently among the temples, markets and surroundings of Siem Reap.

Flight Baggage: Maximum allowance is 20 kg checked baggage and 7 kg carry-on baggage.

Ha Long Bay Luggage: Main luggage may remain at the hotel in Hanoi during the overnight cruise.
Ha Long Bay Access: Some sites involve staircases and uneven or slippery pathways, so suitable walking footwear is recommended.
Ha Long Bay Operations: Boat availability may occasionally require a larger shared vessel, or the order of Days 02 and 03 may be switched; scheduled onboard inclusions remain unchanged.
Combination Journey: The group composition and leader are likely to change when travelling from Vietnam to Cambodia on Day 08.
Luggage: Packing around 15 kg is recommended, with main luggage not exceeding 20 kg; travellers should be able to carry and lift their own bags for short distances when necessary.
Temple Visits: Clothing should cover the shoulders and extend past the knees when visiting religious sites.
Tet Festival: Departures during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year period may experience business closures, crowded attractions and changes to transport, accommodation or itinerary order.
Travel Insurance: Insurance details and next-of-kin information are collected at the Day 01 welcome meeting. Travel insurance is compulsory for international travellers, with at least medical expenses and emergency repatriation cover required; specific waiver provisions apply to travellers residing in the EU, Switzerland or USA.
