Day 01 - TOKYO

• Arrive in Japan and complete customs procedures

Day 02 - TOKYO

• Morning guided city tour visiting key Tokyo landmarks

• Visit Asakusa’s Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street

Day 03 - TOKYO, KYOTO

• Early transfer to Tokyo Station for bullet train to Kyoto

• High-speed journey to Kyoto 

• Guided visit to Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) and Imperial Palace

• Free time for lunch in Kyoto

• Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine and walk through torii gates

• Transfer to Gion and explore the traditional geisha district

• Return to hotel on your own (guide provides instructions)

Day 04 - KYOTO, TSUMAGO, MATSUMOTO, NAGANO

• Morning departure from Kyoto for the Kiso Valley

• Visit traditional post town of Tsumago and enjoy included lunch

• Explore Matsumoto Castle, also known as “The Crow”

• Free time in Matsumoto to shop or sightsee

• Scenic drive through mountain landscapes to Nagano

• Check-in at hotel in Nagano. Evening at leisure

Day 05 - NAGANO, MONKEY PARK, KUSATSU, IKAHO

• Visit Zenkoji Temple and witness a Gomakuyo ceremony

• Travel to Jigokudani Monkey Park and observe hot-spring bathing macaques

• Included lunch near the park

• Scenic mountain drive passing volcanic terrain

• Explore Kusatsu spa town and its open-air onsen park

• Continue to Ikaho and check-in at a traditional ryokan

• Enjoy a traditional Japanese dinner at the ryokan

Day 06 - IKAHO, NIKKO, TOKYO

• Depart Ikaho and travel to Nikko

• Visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine and the Hall of the Crying Dragon

• Free time to enjoy lunch and stroll Nikko’s town center
