DAY 01: TOKYO

• Arrival in Tokyo and transfer to the hotel by shared shuttle

• Afternoon briefing on the itinerary and tour details

DAY 02: TOKYO

• Guided morning city tour to Zojoji Temple, Shibuya Crossing, and Meiji Shrine

• Drive along Omotesando Avenue and stop at the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge

• Pass through Akihabara district and the Sumo Arena

• Visit Sensoji Temple and Nakamise shopping street in Asakusa

• Lunch included at a local restaurant

• Evening metro trip to Shinjuku with dinner included

• Smaller groups may use a Hop-On Hop-Off tour bus

DAY 03: TOKYO, HIROSHIMA, ITSUKUSHIMA, HIROSHIMA

• Transfer to Tokyo Station and board the high-speed bullet train

• Please note: A guide will not accompany the train journey if the group size is fewer than 15 participants.

• Visit Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial Park, Atomic Bomb Dome, and Peace Memorial Museum

• Enjoy free time for lunch in Hiroshima.

• Ferry ride to Miyajima Island

• Visit Itsukushima Shrine and explore the island’s center

• Return ferry and check-in at the Hiroshima hotel

• Dinner included at the hotel

DAY 04: HIROSHIMA, MATSUYAMA

• Morning ferry ride to Shikoku Island through scenic island landscapes

• Visit Matsuyama Castle via cable car or chairlift

• Explore Ishiteji Temple, a historic pilgrimage site

• Lunch included during the day

• Visit to Dogo Onsen traditional bathhouse

• Optional onsen bathing experience (tattoo restrictions apply)

DAY 05: MATSUYAMA, KOTOHIRA, TAKAMATSU, NARUTO, KOBE

• Visit Kotohira’s Shinto Shrine (785 steps or base area visit)

• Stop at a sake museum and local shops in Kotohira

• Visit Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu with lunch included

• Walk the glass floor over Naruto’s whirlpools on the sea bridge

• Scenic drive over suspension bridges toward Kobe

• Arrive in Kobe and enjoy the evening in its downtown area

• Leisure time to explore Kobe’s seaside charm

DAY 06: KOBE, OSAKA, MOUNT KOYA

• Morning visit to the Earthquake Memorial Museum in Kobe

• Continue via Osaka to sacred Mount Koya

• Visit Okuno Mausoleum and Kongobuji Temple

• Enjoy vegetarian lunch en route to Mount Koya

• Overnight stay in a Buddhist monastery

• Zen meditation session led by local monks

• Traditional vegetarian dinner included at the monastery

• On certain dates, the Earthquake Museum visit will be replaced by the Sake Museum or Kobe Tower

• Staying at the monastery is a valued experience with simple tatami-mat rooms and shared bathrooms.

DAY 07: MOUNT KOYA, KYOTO

• Optional morning religious ceremony at the temple

• Japanese breakfast served in the monastery

• Travel to Kyoto and begin full-day city tour

• Visit Golden Pavilion (Kinkakuji) and Imperial Palace

• Explore Fushimi Inari Shrine and its torii gates

• Evening transfer to Gion district with free time

• Return to hotel independently by taxi (guide assistance provided)

• Capture photos of Kyoto’s peaceful streets and traditional wooden houses.

DAY 08: KYOTO

• Breakfast at the hotel

• End of the tour with final goodbyes

• Departure transfers are not included
