Begin in Seoul, exploring its lively neighborhoods, historic palaces, and the DMZ. Travel south through Jeonju’s Hanok Village and Busan’s coastal charm, then board a ferry to Japan. Highlights include Miyajima Island’s iconic floating shrine, Hiroshima’s Peace Memorial, and Shikoku Island’s gardens and temples. End your journey in Kyoto, home to the Golden Pavilion, Fushimi Inari Shrine, and the charming geisha district of Gion.
Why choose this tour? A streamlined version of the Classical itinerary—perfect if you want the highlights of Korea and western Japan but don’t need to visit Tokyo.

Day 01: SEOUL

  • Arrival transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: SEOUL, DMZ CHEORWON, SEOUL

  • Early departure to the DMZ in Cheorwon.

  • Visit Second Tunnel, Cheorwon Peace Observatory, Woljeong-ri station, and Baek Ma Battle Memorial.

  • Lunch included.

  • Visit a local distillery producing Makgeolli rice liquor.

  • Evening visit to City Hall, Deoksugung Palace, and walk in Myeongdong district.

Day 03: SEOUL

  • Half-day city tour: Changdeokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, and War Memorial of Korea.

  • Lunch included.

  • Afternoon visit to Gangnam District and Lotte World Tower (free time).

  • Evening return and free time.


Day 04: SEOUL, SUWON, JEONJU

  • Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace with guard ceremony.

  • Drive to Suwon, tour UNESCO city walls and Hwaseong Haenggung Palace.

  • Lunch included.

  • Continue to Jeonju for guided walk through Hanok Village.


Day 05: JEONJU, SUNCHANG, DAMYANG, HAEINSA, BUSAN

  • Visit Sunchang Gochujang Village to learn about chili paste traditions.

  • Explore Damyang’s Bamboo Forest and Bamboo Museum. Lunch inside bamboo stalk.

  • Visit Haeinsa Temple, a UNESCO site housing Buddhist scriptures.

  • Arrive in Busan in the evening.


Day 06: BUSAN, FERRY TO JAPAN

  • Visit Haedong Yonggung seaside temple.

  • City tour: UN Memorial Cemetery, Jagalchi Fish Market, and Yongdusan Park.

  • Lunch included.

  • Evening ferry from Busan to Shimonoseki (overnight crossing in cabins). Alternative: flight or high-speed ferry to Fukuoka.


Day 07: SHIMONOSEKI, IWAKUNI, MIYAJIMA, HIROSHIMA

  • Arrive in Japan.

  • Visit Kintai-kyo Bridge in Iwakuni.

  • Ferry to Miyajima Island, visit Itsukushima Shrine, and stroll town center.

  • Afternoon transfer to Hiroshima: Peace Memorial, Atomic Bomb Dome, and Museum.

  • Dinner included.


Day 08: HIROSHIMA, MATSUYAMA

  • Ferry crossing to Shikoku Island.

  • Visit Matsuyama Castle via funicular.

  • Visit Ishiteji Temple, an important pilgrimage site.

  • Lunch included.

  • Admission to Dogo Onsen traditional bathhouse.


Day 09: MATSUYAMA, KOTOHIRA, TAKAMATSU, NARUTO, KOBE

  • Visit Kotohira Shinto Shrine on Mount Zozu.

  • Lunch in Takamatsu and visit Ritsurin Garden.

  • Stop at Naruto Bridge with glass observatory.

  • Evening arrival in Kobe.


Day 10: KOBE, OSAKA, MOUNT KOYA

  • Visit Earthquake Memorial Museum in Kobe.

  • Continue to Osaka, brief stop.

  • Drive to Mount Koya: visit Okuno Mausoleum and Kongobuji Temple.

  • Dinner included. Overnight in Buddhist monastery with meditation experience.


Day 11: MOUNT KOYA, KYOTO

  • Traditional breakfast at the monastery.

  • Transfer to Kyoto.

  • Full-day sightseeing: Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), Imperial Palace, and Fushimi Inari Shrine.

  • Evening in Gion district with free time.

Day 12: KYOTO
