This 8-day journey takes you through the striking landscapes of Norway and Sweden while chasing the magical Northern Lights. Beginning in Bodø and ending in Kiruna, highlights include a stay at the iconic ICEHOTEL, unique fisherman’s cabins in the Lofoten Islands, and encounters with Sámi culture. Discover Viking history, Stone Age heritage, and WWII sites, while also enjoying local food tours and breathtaking Arctic scenery. With small group sizes, seamless logistics, and guided experiences, this itinerary blends cultural exploration with natural wonders. The trip is designed to maximize your chances of witnessing the Aurora Borealis while enjoying authentic Nordic hospitality.

Day 01: BODØ

  • Arrival in Bodø and private transfer to the Wood Hotel

  • Orientation with tour leader and fellow group members

Day 02: BODØ

  • Reindeer sledding with a local Sámi family

  • Cultural storytelling about Sámi traditions

  • Three-course meal served inside a traditional Lavvu tent

  • Free evening at leisure


Day 03: BODØ, SVOLVÆR (LOFOTEN ISLANDS)

  • Visit to Saltstraumen, one of the world’s strongest tidal currents

  • Explore a Stone Age site with themed lunch and activities

  • Scenic ferry voyage from Bodø to Svolvær

  • Overnight in traditional fisherman’s rorbu cabins


Day 04: LOFOTEN ISLANDS

  • Guided sightseeing across Lofoten’s dramatic landscapes

  • Stop at picturesque fishing villages and harbors

  • Visit to the Lofotr Viking Museum, Norway’s longest reconstructed longhouse

  • Leisure time to enjoy the rorbu cabins


Day 05: LOFOTEN ISLANDS, NARVIK

  • Taste of Lofoten food tour featuring local Arctic delicacies

  • Journey to Narvik, a city with significant WWII history

  • Learn about the Battles of Narvik and their naval importance

  • Overnight in Narvik


Day 06: NARVIK, JUKKASJÄRVI 

  • Scenic drive from Norway to Sweden

  • Arrival and orientation at the world-famous ICEHOTEL

  • Overnight in a cold Art Suite 365 made entirely of snow and ice


Day 07: JUKKASJÄRVI 

  • Ice sculpting class led by local artists

  • Afternoon seasonal adventure:
    Winter (Jan–Mar): snowmobile or dogsledding
    Autumn (Sep–Oct): Abisko mountain hike

  • Evening Northern Lights opportunities

  • Overnight in a warm ICEHOTEL room


Day 08: KIRUNA

  • Shared transfer to Kiruna for departure flights
