Discover Morocco on an 8-day women-only small-group journey for 1 to 12 travellers, beginning and ending in Marrakech. Travel into the remote M’Goun Valley for four days of hiking between rural villages accompanied by a local female guide. Connect with local women through couscous preparation, bread-making, rug weaving, traditional music and Amazigh cultural experiences. Visit the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Benhaddou before returning to Marrakech for a home-cooked dinner and a private performance by a female music group.

Day 01: MARRAKECH
Arrive in Marrakech and attend the welcome meeting at 06:00 p.m., where you will meet your leader and fellow travellers.
Highlight: Begin a women-only journey focused on meaningful encounters with local women and communities across Morocco.
If arriving early, explore Djemaa el-Fna, the lively central square within Marrakech’s historic medina, independently.
You may also view the exterior of Koutoubia Mosque or independently visit the Majorelle Garden during your free time.
Attendance at the welcome meeting is important, as insurance and emergency contact details will be collected.
After the meeting, you may choose to join the group for dinner at your own expense.

Day 02: BOU THARAR
Travel by private vehicle to Bou Tharar Village, with an approximate journey time of seven hours.
On arrival, meet local women and enjoy an included experience featuring Amazigh music and traditional local songs.
Highlight: Experience rural Moroccan hospitality through local music, traditions and a traditional included dinner.
Stay overnight in a terracotta gite, a rural guesthouse operated by a local family.
Accommodation: Gite
Meals: Breakfast and dinner.
Day 03: AGOUTI
Begin four days of hiking with a walk from Bou Tharar to Agouti Village, accompanied by one of the region’s first local female guides.
Travel west through the M’Goun Valley, passing villages while your guide shares stories about the landscape and her nomadic background.
Highlight: Discover the M’Goun Valley through the knowledge and experience of a pioneering local female guide.
In Agouti, join an included couscous preparation demonstration and learn traditional preparation techniques.
Today’s hike is approximately 5 to 6 hours covering 9 km.

Day 04: RBAT VILLAGE
Walk through Agouti Gorge and cross Almdoun Village on the way to Rbat Village.
Cross a river during the hike; depending on water levels, you may need to remove your shoes or use suitable closed-toe or waterproof footwear.
Highlight: Meet a local woman in Rbat Village for an included demonstration of traditional Moroccan rug weaving.
Take a walk through the village before settling into your guesthouse for the evening.
Today’s hike is approximately 5 to 6 hours covering 9 km.

Day 05: ISSOUMAR
Begin with a traditional Moroccan breakfast and take part in preparing khobz, the flatbread commonly served throughout Morocco.
Continue trekking towards Timtda Village, where you will stop for an included picnic lunch.
Climb approximately 200 metres to Tissardan Pass, then descend approximately 300 metres towards Issoumar Village.
Highlight: Spend the afternoon listening to traditional folk tales and making music with local women at the guesthouse.
Today’s trek is approximately 9 hours covering 19 km, including breaks.

Day 06: BOU THARAR
Follow the M’Goun River back towards Bou Tharar, passing rural landscapes and local farming communities.
After lunch, visit a local barn and learn about traditional farming practices and the importance of livestock to local families.
Take part in an included experience featuring traditional Amazigh dress, henna and kohl makeup.
Highlight: Join local women for an Amazigh wedding-style celebration, including dinner and insights into regional traditions.
Today’s hike is approximately 5 to 6 hours covering 8 km.
Accommodation: Gite
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 07: AIT BENHADDOU, MARRAKECH
Return towards Marrakech with a stop at UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ait Benhaddou.
Join your leader for an included walk through the historic mudbrick ksar, an outstanding example of southern Moroccan architecture.
Continue to Marrakech and visit the home of local host Zineb for an included traditional home-cooked dinner.
Highlight: Share a personal encounter with your local host before enjoying a private performance by The Houariyates, a female music group.
Today’s approximate travel time is 8 hours.

Day 08: MARRAKECH
Enjoy breakfast before the organised journey concludes, with no further scheduled activities included today.
Highlight: Extend your stay independently to experience more of Marrakech and its surrounding attractions.
Optional experiences include a hot-air balloon ride, guided city cycling tour, hammam and massage experience or quad biking.
Additional accommodation may be arranged separately for travellers wishing to remain in Marrakech.
Meals: Breakfast.

Sleeping Bag: A 3/4-season sleeping bag is required as village accommodation may not be heated.
Single Supplement: Available subject to availability, but excludes the gites on Days 02 and 06 and guesthouses on Days 03–05.
Airport Transfer: Arrival transfer is not included as standard but may be pre-booked separately.
Room Arrangements: Triple, adjoining, connecting or family rooms are not guaranteed.
