Discover Nepal on a 13-day women-only small-group journey for 1 to 12 travellers, beginning and ending in Kathmandu. Trek through the Annapurna region with an all-female team of mountain guides and porters, staying in traditional teahouses along the way. Connect with local women through cooking, handicrafts, Buddhist traditions, Gurung culture and community initiatives. Explore Pokhara and Chitwan National Park with a lake cruise, wildlife safari and canoe experience before returning to Kathmandu for cultural encounters in Durbar Square and Kirtipur.

Day 01: KATHMANDU
Arrive in Kathmandu and attend the welcome meeting at 02:00 p.m. to meet your female leader and fellow travellers.
Highlight: Begin your women-only Nepal journey with an included welcome dinner featuring local dishes and a traditional dance performance.
If arriving early, explore Thamel independently or join the optional Spiritual Nepal Experience.
Optional experiences also include a rickshaw night tour or scenic Everest flight at additional cost.
Attendance at the welcome meeting is important, as insurance and emergency contact information will be collected.

Day 02: KATHMANDU, KAPAN
Travel to Khachoe Ghakyil Ling, an all-female Buddhist nunnery in Kapan, and learn about the daily lives of its resident nuns.
Highlight: Discover how the nunnery provides a dedicated space for women pursuing Buddhist teachings while challenging traditional gender roles.
Continue to Sungava Nepal, an organisation supporting marginalised women through education, skills training and income generation.
Take part in an included cooking class and learn how to prepare traditional Nepali dishes alongside local women.
Enjoy your prepared dishes as an included lunch before returning to Kathmandu.

Day 03: POKHARA
Take an included 30-minute domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, surrounded by views of the Himalayan region when conditions allow.
Join your leader for an orientation walk through Pokhara before visiting a local Tibetan refugee settlement.
Highlight: Learn to make traditional momos with a local woman while hearing her family’s story and connection to the Tibetan community.
Visit Yes Helping Hands Handicrafts, where people with disabilities receive training in weaving, dyeing and knitting.
Stay at 3 Sisters Guesthouse, a women-owned property supporting disadvantaged women through adventure-tourism training and employment.

Day 04: BIRETHANTI, TIKHEDHUNGA, ULLERI
Transfer by private vehicle to Birethanti and meet your all-female team of assistant trekking guides and porters.
Begin the included five-day Annapurna trek, travelling through rural villages, rice paddies and terraced landscapes.
Pass Tikhedhunga before climbing hundreds of stone steps towards Ulleri.
Highlight: Begin your Himalayan trekking experience with an all-female mountain crew while travelling through traditional rural communities.
Arrive in Ulleri at approximately 2,070 metres and settle into a traditional teahouse.

Trekking: Approximately 9 km / 5 hours.
Day 05: GHOREPANI
Continue uphill towards Ghorepani, passing traditional houses and teahouses through the Annapurna region.
Travel beyond Banthanti and continue through forested areas towards Nangathanti before reaching Ghorepani.
Highlight: Trek through changing Himalayan landscapes with opportunities to see Annapurna South along the way.
Ghorepani sits at approximately 2,860 metres, making today a steady uphill trekking day.
Accommodation: Teahouse
Trekking: Approximately 8 km / 5 hours.
Day 06: POON HILL, TADAPANI
Rise early for a pre-dawn hike to Poon Hill, the highest point reached during the trip at approximately 3,210 metres.
Highlight: Watch sunrise over Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Range, with expansive mountain views when visibility allows.
Continue trekking along the ridgeline towards Tadapani, surrounded by forested Himalayan landscapes.
Descend through a forested gorge before arriving at the mountain settlement of Tadapani.
Accommodation: Teahouse
Trekking: Approximately 10 km / 8 hours.
Day 07: GHANDRUK
Enjoy the sunrise from Tadapani before beginning the shorter trek towards Ghandruk.
Walk through forested trails before arriving in this traditional stone-house village associated with Gurung culture.
Join an included guided tour through Ghandruk to learn about local traditions and everyday village life.
Highlight: Enjoy a traditional Gurung folk-song and dance performance presented by women from the local community.
Accommodation: Teahouse
Trekking: Approximately 6.5 km / 6 hours.
Day 08: SHYAULI BAZAAR, POKHARA
Complete the final section of the Annapurna trek with a walk down to Shyauli Bazaar, where a private vehicle transfers you to Pokhara.
Take an included boat ride across Phewa Lake and visit Tal Barahi Temple, located on an island in the lake.
Continue to the International Mountain Museum to learn about Nepal’s trekking history, mountain communities and mountaineering heritage.
Highlight: Complete your five-day trek and return to Pokhara for a combination of lakeside and mountain-cultural experiences.
Optional Activity: Visit the Peace Pagoda free of charge.

Trekking: Approximately 6 km / 3 hours.
Day 09: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Travel approximately 4.5 hours to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Chitwan National Park and settle into a jungle lodge.
Visit a Tharu Village and learn about the lives and traditions of local Tharu women.
Head to the riverbank for included sunset drinks and Nepali snacks while looking for wildlife along the opposite bank.
Highlight: Experience Chitwan through its local communities, riverside landscapes and wildlife-rich surroundings.
Return to the lodge for dinner and a traditional Tharu cultural dance demonstration, which may move to Day 10 depending on lodge occupancy.

Day 10: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Set out on an included four-hour jeep safari through Chitwan National Park with opportunities to spot local wildlife.
Look for species including rhinoceros, deer, birds and, with luck, the Royal Bengal tiger.
Take an included dugout canoe safari along the Rapti River, watching for wildlife along the riverbanks.
An included village experience is also part of the Chitwan programme.
Highlight: Experience two different perspectives of Chitwan’s wildlife through an overland safari and river canoe journey.

Day 11: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK, KATHMANDU
Begin with the option of an early-morning birdwatching walk in Chitwan before departing for Kathmandu.
Travel approximately 5 hours by private vehicle back to the capital.
Visit Days for Girls Nepal, a women-led NGO working on menstrual-health education and efforts to eliminate the practice of chhaupadi.
Highlight: Learn about a local women-led initiative challenging menstrual stigma and supporting girls and women across Nepal.

Day 12: KATHMANDU, KIRTIPUR
Join a guided tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, including a stop at Kumari Ghar, associated with Nepal’s living Hindu goddess tradition.
Travel to the historic Newari town of Kirtipur and explore its traditional streets and neighbourhoods.
Visit Chilancho Temple, Bagh Bhairav Temple and Uma Maheshwar Temple during the Kirtipur experience.
Experience a traditional Newari manicure or pedicure performed by Napit women, a ritual associated with cleansing before important occasions.
Highlight: Finish the day with an included farewell dinner at The Village Cafe, supporting women who earn income through traditional Newari cooking.

Day 13: KATHMANDU
Enjoy breakfast before the organised journey comes to an end, with no further scheduled activities included today.
Highlight: Extend your stay independently to explore more of Kathmandu or continue your onward journey.

IMPORTANT TRIP INFORMATION
Group Size: 1 to 12 travellers.
Minimum Age: 15 years old.
Domestic Flight: Included Kathmandu–Pokhara flight on Day 03, approximately 30 minutes.
Flight Baggage: 20 kg checked luggage plus 5 kg hand luggage; up to 5 kg excess baggage is chargeable.
Trekking: Five-day Annapurna trek with long days over uneven stone steps; the longest scheduled day is approximately 8 hours.
Fitness: A good to high level of fitness is required; hiking poles are recommended.
Altitude: Highest point is approximately 3,210 m at Poon Hill, where altitude effects may occur.
Trek Luggage: A duffel is provided; female porters carry up to 8 kg per traveller, with additional luggage stored in Pokhara.
Trekking Permit: Bring 2 passport-size photographs.
Sleeping Bag: A warm sleeping bag is essential; only blankets are supplied at teahouses.
Teahouses: Simple twin-share accommodation with shared basic facilities; dormitory rooms may occasionally be used.
Teahouse Extras: Hot showers, Wi-Fi and device charging may incur additional charges where available.
Single Supplement: Available subject to availability but excludes Days 04–07 in teahouses.
Monsoon: June–September conditions can cause flooding, landslides, transport disruption and an alternative trekking itinerary.
Arrival Transfer: Not included; a pre-arranged paid transfer can be requested with arrival details supplied at least 14 days before departure.
Departure Transfer: Not included; a taxi can be arranged through the hotel or tour leader.
Travel Insurance: Required for international travellers and must appropriately cover the itinerary; trekking above 3,000 m, mountain rescue and helicopter evacuation coverage is particularly important.
