Day 01: HO CHI MINH CITY

• Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, with free time to settle in or independently explore before the organised journey begins.

• If arriving early, you may visit Pham Ngu Lao Street or Vinh Nghiem Pagoda independently.

• Attend the important 06:00 p.m. welcome meeting to meet your leader and fellow travellers.

• A complimentary arrival airport transfer is included for eligible Day 01 arrivals or applicable pre-tour accommodation.

• Flight details must be provided at booking or at least 14 days before travel for the included arrival transfer.

• Highlight: Begin your Vietnam journey in the energetic southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 02: CU CHI, HO CHI MINH CITY

• Travel to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, a former Viet Cong stronghold offering an insight into underground life during the Vietnam War.

• Learn about the resourcefulness and resilience involved in the construction and use of this extensive tunnel network.

• Return to Ho Chi Minh City and visit the historic Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace.

• The palace was the site of South Vietnam’s surrender at the end of the war.

• You may independently visit the War Remnants Museum afterwards or return to your hotel.

• Highlight: Explore two important sites connected with Vietnam’s modern history.

Day 03: DA NANG, HOI AN, TRA QUE

• Fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, then continue by private vehicle to Hoi An.

• Later in the afternoon, travel with your leader to Tra Que for an included culinary experience.

• Tour a local chef’s garden and select fresh herbs and vegetables that will form part of the evening meal.

• Relax in the peaceful garden surroundings while a private chef prepares dinner using seasonal produce.

• Highlight: Enjoy an included garden-to-table dinner celebrating the fresh ingredients and flavours of Hoi An.

Day 04: HOI AN

• Join your leader for an included walking tour through Hoi An Old Town, an historic trading port shaped by European, Chinese and Vietnamese influences.

• Visit a historic house and cross the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge.

• Continue to a Chinese assembly hall and a local museum.

• Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore Hoi An independently.

• Optional experiences include a food-focused adventure or a private bike, boat and dinner excursion.

• Highlight: Walk through Hoi An’s beautifully preserved streets and experience its distinctive multicultural heritage.

Day 05: HANOI

• Transfer to the airport and take an included domestic flight to Hanoi, Vietnam’s capital.

• Join a guided half-day exploration including the Temple of Literature, One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House.

• Enjoy an included lunch at KOTO, a social enterprise providing vocational training for disadvantaged young people.

• Continue with an included walking experience through Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

• Enjoy free time afterwards to explore the capital independently.

• Highlight: Combine Hanoi’s historic landmarks and Old Quarter with an included social-enterprise dining experience.

Note: When the One Pillar Pagoda and Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House are closed on Mondays, Hoa Lo Prison is visited instead.

Day 06: HA LONG BAY

• Travel by private vehicle to spectacular Ha Long Bay and board your overnight boat.

• Cruise through the bay’s green waters, beaches and dramatic limestone karst landscape.

• Watch the sunset over the limestone formations as you continue through the bay.

• Enjoy included lunch and dinner onboard, including fresh seafood.

• Highlight: Spend the night cruising among one of Vietnam’s most celebrated natural landscapes.

• Pack a smaller overnight bag for the cruise; your main luggage can be stored in Hanoi.

• Accommodation: Overnight Boat | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Travel: Approx. 4 hours.

Day 07: HA LONG BAY, HANOI

• Wake early if you wish to watch the sunrise before enjoying a leisurely morning sailing across Ha Long Bay.

• Return to port and travel approximately four hours back to Hanoi.

• Enjoy free time to explore the capital independently, including Dong Xuan Market if desired.

• An optional traditional water puppet show is available at additional cost.

• You may choose to join your fellow travellers for an optional final dinner at your own expense.

• Highlight: Return to Hanoi for a relaxed final afternoon and evening after your overnight Ha Long Bay experience.

Day 08: HANOI

• Enjoy breakfast before the organised journey comes to an end, with no further scheduled activities.

• Additional accommodation can be arranged separately if you wish to spend more time in Hanoi.

• Optional extensions include a Ninh Binh Mini Adventure or Hiking in Sapa.

• Highlight: Extend your stay independently to experience more of northern Vietnam.

• Meals: Breakfast.

IMPORTANT TRIP INFORMATION

• Group Size: 1 to 12 travellers.

• Minimum Age: 15 years.

• Walking: The overall pace is generally easy, but the itinerary includes walking tours in city centres and walking in caves at Ha Long Bay.

• Arrival Transfer: Complimentary for Day 01 arrivals or eligible pre-tour accommodation; flight details must be provided at least 14 days before travel.

• Single Supplement: Available subject to availability but excludes Day 06, when accommodation is shared aboard the overnight boat.

• Domestic Flights: Internal flights are included as indicated in the itinerary.

• Flight Baggage: Maximum allowance is 20 kg checked baggage and 7 kg carry-on.

• Flight Ticketing: Full names, including all middle names shown on the passport, must exactly match the passport; amendments within 45 days of departure may incur fees or require a replacement ticket.

• Ha Long Bay Cabins: Overnight boat accommodation is twin-share with air-conditioning and private facilities.

• Ha Long Bay Luggage: A smaller overnight bag is recommended; main luggage can be stored in Hanoi during the cruise.

• Ha Long Bay Activities: Kayaking and swimming are restricted to designated areas within the bay.

• Ha Long Bay Operations: Boat restrictions may occasionally require travellers to share a larger vessel or the group to be split between different boats; the route may vary but inclusions remain the same.

• Accommodation Changes: Similar-standard accommodation may be substituted when preferred properties are unavailable.

• Early Check-In: Immediate room access cannot always be guaranteed; luggage storage or shared day rooms may be used until rooms are ready.

• Lunar New Year: Business closures, busy tourist sites and heavily booked transport may affect departures travelling during the festival period.

• Travel Insurance: Insurance details must be provided at the Day 01 welcome meeting. Travel insurance is compulsory for international travellers, with at least medical expenses and emergency repatriation cover required; specific waiver provisions apply to travellers residing in the EU, Switzerland or USA.
